Celebrating the success of the 2012 London Olympic Games we look back to the Midlands history of the games. From the birthplace of the modern games at Much Wenlock in Shropshire to the games that never were: 'Birmingham 1992' which aimed to put the Midlands forward as the true centre of the Olympic ideal. The compilation includes interviews with some of the UK's sporting greats from the 1980s, Tessa Sanderson, Geoff Capes and Sebastian Coe.
