Exterior shots of Papplewick pumping station. Views inside the building showing the restored beam engine in operation. The beam engine was built by James Watt and Co. and was only taken out of service in 1969. Since then it has been restored and is now operated as a tourist attraction a few days per year. Bev Smith piece to camera. Interview with Ron Greensmith, chairman of a charity trust that is preserving the building about the impressive Victorian engineering on show. A new unmanned electric pumping station is now in operation.
