Description

Opening inter-title: 'These films are taken by F.S. Morrison of Cleobury who is a amateur'. We then see Freddy Morrison walking towards the camera and a sign indicates that he is the local insurance agent (nick named Hector). We then see a coach operated by Charles Motor Services of Cleobury with the owner posing alongside a board advertising their firm. A Dufacolor section follows again showing the Charles Motor Services coach and several children posing for the camera. Returning to black and white we then see a group of men drinking outside at the Crown Inn at Hopton Wafers and a view of the village. 'Local views' of Highley on Severn in Shropshire follow including the Highley and Kinlet Miners’ Welfare, people posing for the camera including miners and men standing outside the Ship Hotel and also views of the 'new' Severn bridge at Highley. The final Highley shots show children standing on the street with a sign for the Ship Hotel behind. The next section shows a visit to the Isle of Man by local people including views of the island, motorcycle racing for the Isle of Man TT and views from the return ferry journey. An advert for C.S. Corbett hardware shop in Cleobury Mortimer including an exterior view of the premises and notices for A.C. Cordon (draper) and the Garden Cinema end the reel.
