Description

The story beings with shots outside a car factory with a Fisher and Ludlow transporter carrying bodies as they pull into a factory (BMC at Longbridge). Brief shot of workers leaving the factory We then cut to the interview with Roy Jenkins who says he went to see Sir George in his capacity as a constituent MP, not as a minister. He has also spoken to trade union leaders. He says that the government knew that the nation was facing difficulties that could not be solved completely painlessly but that talk of a dreadful winter and looming recession and unemployment in the Midlands is over exaggerated.
