Description

We see a gathering of people at the launch of the Muzak service in Birmingham including the Lord Mayor Garnet Boughton and Philip Dorte of ATV Midlands. A short speech follows from the Lord Mayor. We then see inside a car showroom, boutique and a bar with Muzak speakers visible.

Muzak were an American company that provided 'light' music for shops and offices as a piped service. Their British franchises, trading as Planned Music Limited, were run by ATV. The Midlands base was at an office on Smallbrook Ringway in Birmingham.
