We open with Ian Holm on stage as Troilus in William Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida. This is followed by exterior shots of the Theatre Royal in Newcastle upon Tyne (with posters advertising the Royal Shakespeare Company tour of the play) and we see Holm leaving the theatre and getting into a taxi. We then see Holm amongst passengers boarding and aircraft. The next section shows the exterior of the Aldwych Theatre in London with posters advertising 'A Penny for a Song'. This is also an RSC production and we see cast member Judy Dench walking towards the stage door and then in her dressing room applying make-up and mute shots of her on stage. The final section shows work underway in the scenic workshop and prop stores of the Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford upon Avon including costumes being made.
