Description

We see reporter Judith Jackson wearing a fitted suit and wide brimmed hat walking along a street in London. She is then seen in a Midlands town (a pottery kiln in the background suggests that we might be in Stoke on Trent). She receives looks from passers-by. This opening section is mute. Judith then talks to the fashion designer Norman Hartnell who is asked about the type of woman he designs for and his influences. The final section is a series of vox pops in Coventry in which Judith asks both men and women why they don't wear the clothes that are currently fashionable in Paris or London and if they like the suit and hat she is wearing.
