Opening shot of a city skyline cuts to a graphic flash and then views of a empty crater. We then see a section of library film (probably sourced from ITN) showing various anti nuclear protests and marches: a CND march to Aldermaston; a large rally in Trafalgar Square, London including a speech by Michael Foot; protests outside the Ministry of Defence in London including an interview with Bertrand Russell; canoeists attempting to block the path of a ship; and protestors being arrested. The final section shows a Midlands CND protest march (ATV material). Reg Harcourt vox pops about the anti-nuclear question including a member of Birmingham CND.
