Description

Two film inserts for a television programme about the city of Nottingham.

The first insert (running 2.56) has sound:

We see a group of students leaving the Old Trip To Jerusalem pub in Nottingham. Outside they walk past the title of the programme (Look Around: The Nottingham Story) which has been chalked into the pavement and onto a wall.

Next the students walk through the entrance to the castle grounds. (the audio to the students section is a song 'Nottingham Ale').

Next we cut to an unidentified man standing in Old Market Square. We see people sitting on benches and pedestrians in the city centre. The man is seen boarding a bus. Finally we see a wide shot over the Trent Bridge area. (The audio for this section is the man describing Nottingham including the quote: "for a provincial city it takes a lot of beating".)

The second insert (running 0.58) is mute:

We see high angle shots of the city (probably shot from the Castle), a bust of Sir Jesse Boot outside Nottingham University and night shots outside the Council House.
