Description

The opening section is in colour and was filmed at the Squires Gate holiday camp near Blackpool and shows children riding on a small donkey cart (Reg Weir Riding School). We then see children and adults on the beach and jumping from the sand dunes.

The next section begins with a children's fancy dress event in front of a holiday camp chalet and we also see shots of people on a pebbled beach. We cut back to the holiday camp, this time adults are wearing fancy dress and a woman wears a 'Miss Lido' sash (this location is Rustington Lido holiday camp in West Sussex). Children are seen riding donkeys and there are further beach and waves shots.

The next section is in b/w (slightly early stock so possibly a different year) and continues with similar views at Rustington Lido holiday camp including children taking part in running races, playing in sand dunes, enjoying a see-saw and further fancy dress scenes. A boy with a woman are seen eating ice creams on a road. The children continue to play on the beach on groynes and throw stones into the sea.

We return to colour for further running races for children. The adults then have an egg and spoon race. Children are seen on a rocking horse and swings in a park. Further shots of people playing on a sandy beach follow before we see another children's fancy dress event and people riding a two seater tricycle (with Rogerson Hall advertising which suggests we may now be at the holiday camp at Corton in Suffolk).
