Description

The opening section (in colour) shows grass track motorcycle racing at Lilleshall including riders on the starting line and races for both motorcycles and for sidecars. Next we see a motorcycle scramble with riders attempting a muddy track at an unidentified location. We then continue in b/w with views of the Red Marley motorcycle hill-climb at Great Witley beginning with the arrival of riders and spectators (negotiating some very muddy footpaths) followed by shots of riders setting off from the start in pairs. We then cut to part way up the climb and see several riders reach their limit with marshals coming to the rescue of the bikes with ropes as they fall over. A large crowd of spectators looks on.
