Description

Unedited interview with a group of women from Doe Lea discussing making a community quilt about life in the village. We then see views of the Doe Lea area including people standing on waste ground talking about houses that have been demolished and shots of children playing on waste ground. The tape ends with an interview with two film-makers who made a local documentary in the village in 1968 arranged by Stainsby Arts Centre. One of the men is the actor Peter Ellis (the other is Stephen Hawkins?). They talk about scrounging film stock from Ken Loach's Kes which was then being shot in Barnsley.
