As a RAF doctor, Squadron Leader Kingston has been trained to fly so she can better understand the stresses faced by pilots. She has not undergone the full four year training so cannot fly jet aircraft. Shot of Josephine Kingston at press conference and taxiing in a light aircraft on the runway at RAF Swinderby in Lincolnshire. Also a shot of RAF jet on the runway. Interview with Flight Lieutenant Di Brown, who said there was no reason why, in the future, women should not become pilots. Interview with Squadron Leader Kingston who said the experience of jet flying would be valuable but the training would be uneconomic.
