We open with b/w shots of cyclists competing in a time trial over public roads. A colour caption "Handsworth Park 1947" is followed by b/w views of a cycle race taking place in the Birmingham park. We return to colour for shots of children playing on a small footbridge over a small stream (in Handsworth Park?). We then see another race in Handsworth Park, this time in wet weather. The reel ends with further time trials on public roads.
