Description

We see a wayside cross in the village of Meriden which is reputed to mark the centre of England. We then see shots of a power station and an unidentified industrial works.

We then see Warwick town centre, a sign for Royal Leamington Spa, and the exterior of the Royal Pump Rooms in the town. We also see workers leaving a factory in Leamington Spa (Lockheed?). Next, in Dudley we see the town centre and the market.

Reg Harcourt then conducts vox pops in Dudley about what the important issues in the forthcoming elections will be.

The three seats being contested were: Dudley, Meriden and Warwick and Leamington. The Conservatives won all three, holding Warwick and Leamington and gaining Dudley and the Meriden seat from Labour.
