Shots of Harold Fletcher, chief inspector for schools in Staffordshire teaching a group of junior school pupils. Pat Eaglestone explains in a voice over how the school uses the type of mathematical terms usually learnt by older pupils. We then see a class of infant pupils sorting shapes and explaining how sets and times tables work with sets of objects. Fletcher then talks to a boy called Andrew about his times tables.
