Lionel Hampden talks to Philip Weaver at various locations along the Birmingham to Wolverhampton canal. Weaver discusses the packet boat service at Wallbrook; a gauging station built in 1873 at the Tipton canal basin; and finally, the Galton Bridge made by the Horsley Iron Company over the canal at Smethwick. We see several views of a narrow boat travelling along the canal (operated by Alfred Matty and Sons of Coseley) and an electric train passing the canal.
