Description

Bomb explosion at Coventry Central Telephone Building, where one of the bombers (James McDade) was killed during the explosion. Brief night shots of the scene and longer views today of the clear-up. Interview with a Coventry publican who chased and helped detain one of the bombers, Raymond Francis McLaughlin. Establishing shot of a house in Sydenham Road, Sparkbrook, where police believe McLaughlin and members of the IRA have been living. Interview with West Midlands Chief Constable for Crime, Maurice Buck, about the arrest of McLaughlin and his pending appearance in court.

Exterior shots of the RAF Association club in Northampton which was also targeted.

Exterior shots of the Conservative Party headquarters in Solihull where another bomb exploded.

Views of F. Ryland timber yard at Ladywood in Birmingham where there was a further explosion. Second interview with Maurice Buck who warns the public not to interfere with any suspect bombs.
