View of Derbyshire countryside. Library shots (from ATV Today 11 July 1978) of Litton villagers preparing well dressings. Shots of this year's display which celebrates Edensor church and Chatsworth House. Shots of a parade through the village led by majorettes. Shots of Helen Styles being crowned Rose Queen by Mrs Hilton, the wife of the Derbyshire Lord Lieutenant Peter Hilton. We then see children wearing fancy dress as part of the festival. Peter Green talks to the director of the Derbyshire Festival which is in its first year but due to its complexity may be a one-off. We end with further shots of the procession through Litton.
