They were travelling along a road near Faringdon in Oxfordshire in June 1978, when they saw a strange light in the sky. The flying saucer hovered above the vehicle and then they were lifted up in a mist. The family were shown around the craft, which they said had at least four storeys and the aliens told them that they were looking for a new planet to colonise, as their own was being destroyed. They were later returned to Earth and said that there was no doubt in their minds that it actually happened. Geoff Meade talks to John Mann and his family at the scene of their alien abduction.
