Description

We see crowds waving Union flags, the arrival of the royal cars at Solihull Civic Hall and the Queen inspecting a line-up of soldiers. She then opens the new civic hall with the Mayor of Solihull J. Leslie Shepherdson. Next we see unedited shots of her visit to Solihull School followed by further shots of her in an open top Land Rover yesterday inspecting troops and guides in a park in Walsall. This is followed by more unedited shots of her visit to the Crabtree electrical factory at Walsall, again shot yesterday.

Story number - 4186. The Crabtree material was shot on 24 May 1962 but appears to have been unused. Some extra shots of the Queen opening Solihull Civic Hall appear in a print to be found in Look Around: Mayfair in the Midlands (21 April 1964).
