Description

(The majority of the reel is b/w). We open with shots of the docks at Boston in Lincolnshire including various European freighters and a sign for the Boston Pilots. The next section shows traction engines on display at the 1964 Lincolnshire Steam Rally at North Hykeham. Also shots of pipe organs and a traction engine race. "Fireworks at Ted's 1964". We see indistinct views of a small firework display in a back garden.

(The remainder of the reel was listed as 1965 but may be earlier, possibly late 1950s) We cut to a man holding up a poster: "Cadwell Road Races Whit Monday". At the motor racing circuit near Louth in Lincolnshire we see motorcyclists preparing and the man seen earlier with the poster posing alongside his Ducati racing motorbike. Views of the races follow with the cameraman concentrating on the Ducati rider. This section ends with a shot of another man riding away from the camera on the Ducati on a road in Lincoln. The next section shows a boy rowing a boat - the cameraman is in the boat too. We see shots of an unidentified boating lake and then two boys in a park, outside a large house, and then the boys up a tree. The next section shows a cat jumping onto a shed roof and then a man pointing out his beard to the cameraman and then shaving it off with an electric shaver. The final section is the only one in colour and shows a brief view from a train and shots of people in an office.
