Wide shot of crowds in Old Market Square, waiting for Queen. Shot of Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean arriving at the Council House and posing for photographs. We then see the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh on their walkabout in the square including the Queen being presented with a basket of flowers by a dog. Wide shot of guests at the banquet. Shots of the Queen and Duke on the balcony of the Council House and emerging after their lunch. Interview with Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean about their private meeting with the royal couple. Interview with Percy Woodward, who served with the Duke of Edinburgh during the war as his batman.

(+ 10 mins trims which are mainly made up of shots from their civic reception in Nottingham on 16 April 1984.) The trims begin with Phil Bayles talking to children with a banner in Old Market Square. A brief interview with Jayne’s father in his newsagent’s shop on Scotland Road in Old Basford follows. We the see Torvill and Dean being driven in an open-top Land Rover from Old Basford to Nottingham city centre with crowds cheering along their route and eventually arriving in a packed Market Square. There is a short section showing Torvill and Dean with the Queen and Duke outside the Council House shot from a high vantage point.
