We first see high angle wide shots of an empty Villa Park stadium followed by pitch level views of the empty pitch. Simon Smith then introduces and interviews former Aston Villa players. He talks to Vic Milne, who remembers playing in a Wembley FA Cup final against Newcastle in the 1920s and then to Jimmy Gibson who signed from Partick Thistle in the 1920s. Next Smith talks to Ernie 'Mush' Callaghan who talks about a pre war tour of Germany in which the players refused to give the Nazi salute. Smith continues by interviewing George Edwards, an inside forward, who talks about scoring a goal against Manchester United in 1948 and finally Smith meets Jimmy Dugdale who was a member of the 1957 FA Cup winning squad. Next we see the current Aston Villa squad training on the pitch and manager Vic Crowe provides a commentary about the players who are trying out some one-on-one techniques. Simon Smith then interviews Crowe about the match against Spurs. Finally Smith talks to chairman Doug Ellis about the game.
