Description

The lorries were turned away despite a High Court ruling that they should be let through. John Swallow interview with a union member who said the pickets only talked to the drivers trying to persuade them not to go through. Interview Ernest Player, joint managing director, about the management's decision to turn convoy back to avoid worse trouble. He adds that the company can only survive for four or five days without the steel. Shots of the pickets jostling with police in wintry sleety weather and the lorries being turned away.
