"Connecting people with the screen heritage of the Midlands."
From March 2010 to March 2013 MACE ran FULL CIRCLE, a Heritage Lottery Funded project that supported 60 local history societies, community groups and other organisations to find, identify and use film and video that will be held both locally and at MACE for the benefit of the community.
The Full Circle Project will have a lasting impact on local communities across the region. By collecting and showing films, the project has built interest in local history and developed a sense of belonging and pride of place in people throughout the Midlands.
We are committed to helping local groups get the most out of their moving image heritage.
As the regional film archive for the Midlands, MACE has the expertise to provide advice on all things relating to the moving image and has staff who will enthuse and inspire.
When material was found copies have, where appropriate, been made available to the community in a format that they are able to use in the future for film screenings, research, events and as a resource for schools, history groups, local museums and the rest of the community. Copies have also, where possible, been made for the owner of the material.
