Unedited sequences show: children in fancy dress and parade on Highfield Grove in West Bridgford. We also see shots of children eating tea at a long table in a hall. Next in the playground of Exchange Road school we see rehearsals for a production which includes folk dancing. We then see visitors to an exhibition of paintings. This is followed by a queue of elderly residents outside Bridgford Hall and then inside the sit down for tea. We then see them leaving the building and walking in the grounds and in St Giles churchyard. Finally there is a garden party with speeches and various produce stalls.
