Views of Bolton Road in Small Heath including close up views of piles of rubbish. Tony Maycock talks to resident Mrs Evans, who has eight children and describes the poor conditions of her property. One of her daughters is holding up two rats the family caught this morning in the house. Maycock then talks to a group of tenants who direct their anger towards private landlord Frederick Lynn of Small Heath Estates. Interview with two local councillors (standing on the left is John O'Keefe) about the exploitation of tenants in Bolton Road by Small Heath Estates. It is alleged that the private landlord is renovating some of the houses so he will be eligible for more compensation when the council order them to be demolished
