The process of donating and depositing is detailed below for your information.
We can care for your film and tapes under two different agreements:
Deposit agreement
When film or video is deposited with MACE it remains the property of the depositor and the original copyright position remains unchanged. Depositors agree to allow MACE to copy the material to ensure its long term preservation and to allow it to be used in certain non-profit making contexts. We must obtain the permission of the depositor and copyright holder for all commercial uses of the material unless agreed otherwise.
Donation agreement
When film or video is donated to MACE by the copyright holder it becomes MACE's property and we also assume the right to use it as we see fit.
