Two University of Leicester PhD students start their research using MACE's collections this week.
Both Gillian Murray, from Edingburgh, and Julie Ives, who lives in Leicester, were recruited to conduct collaborative doctoral awards with MACE funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
Gillian will be focusing on the ITV regional news collection and its represenation of women in industry while Julie will be exploring the factors that influenced ITV's regional programming in the Midlands during the ATV and Central years.
