"Connecting people with the screen heritage of the Midlands."
MACE has developed FULL CIRCLE, a Heritage Lottery Funded project that will support 60 local history societies, Community groups and other organisations to find, identify and use film and video that will be held both locally and at MACE for the benefit of the community.
The Full Circle Project will run until 2013, but aims to have a lasting impact on local communities across the region. By collecting and showing films, the project aims to build interest in local history and develop a sense of belonging and pride of place in people throughout the Midlands.

As time goes by more and more gems held on film and video tape are being lost or thrown away - simply because people do not recognise their historical importance to the local community and beyond.
We need your help to turn this tide: to search out hidden films or tape that may be in your community. Dusty old reels of film found in the attic to home videos of the village fete could well be of interest. Even footage of you as a child in your parents’ back garden could be important: saying something about how children played in the past.
We are committed to helping local groups get the most out of their moving image heritage.
As the regional film archive for the Midlands, MACE has the expertise to provide advice on all things relating to the moving image and has staff who will enthuse and inspire.
When film or video footage is found, MACE will discuss the making of copies of deposited material with the owner and with the community. Where possible copies will be provided to the owner of the material and, where appropriate, made available to the community in a format that they are able to use, for film screenings, research, events and as a resource for schools, history groups, local museums and the rest of the community.
